Virtual Support
While birth can take unexpected turns, you can and should note what your hopes are for your birth experience! Part of having an empowered birth experience is making your birth team aware of your vision so let’s talk through your preferences together. In the process, we’ll also review what you might expect and decisions you may have to make as labor unfolds. At the end of our time together you’ll have a birth preferences sheet to print out for your labor bag!

As a doula, I believe that everyone should have a doula as part of their birth team. As a human (in this economy!) I understand that is not always the case. But maybe at some point in your pregnancy you just need to chat with one? If that’s the case, I’m here for you (for all non-medical questions)! Some things you may want to discuss:
How will I know if I’m in labor?
My baby is breech! What can I do to encourage a PIVOT (any Friends fans in the room)?
Is this my mucus plug?
Nothing is silly or TMI, let’s talk about it.
$20 per half hourHotline Doula!
24/7 virtual support for you throughout your labor, birth and early postpartum. This can take shape as you need it but we can talk, text or FaceTime. Before your due time we’ll have 2 video calls to get to know each other a bit and review your birth wishes. I will also be available for any questions, provider recaps, etc. leading up to birth and after!

What to Eat When You’re Expecting
Congratulations! You are officially cooking up a baby…but what do you cook up to help that baby and your body grow? Eating in pregnancy is about so much more than avoiding sushi and deli meat, I promise! Conventional guidance loves to tell us what we shouldn’t eat but what about what we should? There’s a great, big world of delicious opportunities to explore so let’s get into it!
In this class, you can expect to learn about some high level nutrition principles like the benefits and balance of macronutrients; micronutrient needs that increase in pregnancy; how to eat a balanced, whole-food based diet to support a healthy pregnancy (and beyond); and solutions for common (ie. rude) pregnancy symptoms.
This class is tailored towards specific nutritional needs in pregnancy, but much of what you will learn in this workshop is supportive of eating to be a healthy human (including toddlers!) making it a great class to bring a partner along. We will not be talking about weight, calorie counting, or extreme food restriction (except for those to be avoided for health/safety).
Dates coming soon. Send me a message for more information.
